The Creation of Precision Operations Consultants:

Precision Operations Consultants was established in response to a clear and growing need within the oil & gas and associated services markets. Over many years of working across complex, high-risk, and performance-driven environments, it became evident that many service companies possessed strong technical capability but lacked the experienced operational leadership required to elevate their operations to the next level.

The UAE's rapid growth, increasing regulatory demands, cost pressures, and heightened expectations around safety, quality, and efficiency have created a gap between day-to-day operations and best-practice operational management. Too often, organizations rely on fragmented processes, reactive decision-making, and informal systems that limit performance and sustainability.

Precision Operations Consultants was founded to bridge this gap. The company brings hands-on operational experience, structured methodologies, and proven management practices to help organizations move from operational adequacy to operational excellence. Drawing on industry knowledge developed through years of direct involvement in oil and gas service operations, in adition expanding into other service industries, we support clients in strengthening their management systems, financial discipline, safety performance, supply chain effectiveness, and people capabilities.

Ian McIntyre, as the Founder and Managing Director of Precision Operations Consultants, provides over 25 years of senior operational and consulting experience across the oil and gas, energy services, and industrial hydraulics sectors.

Ian’s career spans across executive leadership, regional operations management, and hands-on technical environments, with a strong focus on operational excellence, Lean management, safety, quality, and financial performance.

Ian has provided leadership to large, multi-country service operations across the Middle East and Africa, delivering lighthouse projects, ISO implementations, ERP transformations, and new facility start-ups.

Alongside senior leadership roles, Ian has operated as a trusted independent consultant, advising clients on strategy, performance management, change leadership, and operational transformation.

Ian’s background combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting, people leadership, and end-to-end operational accountability.

Debra Henderson is a Senior Hospitality and Tourism Consultant specialising in Quality Assurance and Guest Experience. With over 25 years’ experience across higher education and the hospitality industry, she supports hotels, resorts, tourism operators, and public-sector entities to improve service standards, guest satisfaction, and operational quality.

Debra has extensive expertise in quality systems, service audits, accreditation readiness, and standards development. Her consulting approach combines evidence-based evaluation with practical, implementable recommendations.

Before consulting, Debra held senior management roles in 4 and 5-star hotels, leading large teams and complex operations, and later spent two decades working closely with the industry as a senior academic in the UAE and Australia. This dual background enables her to bridge strategy and operations, ensuring quality frameworks translate into real guest experience improvements.

She is based in Dubai and works across the GCC and internationally.
